Flat Broom STITCHING ONLY Class
Flat Broom STITCHING ONLY Class
No se pudo cargar la disponibilidad de retiro
NOTE: If you took a Round Broom Class from me and you ALREADY KNOW HOW to do the weaving part, this stitching class is to show you how to do JUST the Flat Broom STITCHING part.
Requirements:
1) You'll need to have ALREADY TAKEN the Round Broom Class.
2) You'll need to come with your OWN PRE-WOVEN BROOM with
- the stick that is finished to your satisfaction. (This means that you will have to have it sanded and pre-lacquered already if you want your final broom to be sanded and lacquered.)
- THREE LAYERS of broomcorn ALREADY ATTACHED AND WOVEN as you already learned how to do in the Round Broom Class. (It's JUST like the Round Broom to this point EXCEPT it has THREE LAYERS INSTEAD OF TWO.
- And your broom should have had at least one day to dry before you come to class to stitch it.
NOTE: Broomcorn can be purchase online at caddysupplycompany.com.
You will need to SORT your broomcorn according to length when it arrives. Here's the VIDEO ABOUT HOW TO SORT YOUR BROOMCORN according to length.
NOTE: We do NOT recommend that you drill the hole for the leather strap yet unless you're CERTAIN it's positioned properly. We'll show you how to do that in class.
What's Provided?
Mariner twine and everything you need during the class period to stitch your broom. (Note: These supplies are NOT take-home. Although, of course, you'll take home anything that is attached to your broom.)
What Happens in the Class?
I'll demonstrate exactly how I stitch a Flat Broom just so you have a very clear idea. Afterward, I'll coach you through stitching your own.
What You'll Need
- Water bottle.
- Patience and love toward yourself. :)
- A pre-woven broom with three layers.
- Long-sleeve t-shirt is best to work in if you have sensitive skin.
- Let us know if you're okay with having your picture taken and if it's okay for us to use it when we show pictures of our classes.
- Please let us know if you have any questions about anything at all!
Once you make your purchase, I'll text you and we can arrange a time that works for both of us. Classes are fully refundable if you give us 24 hours notice before class time. They are also transferable. You can send someone in your place and we'll be happy to have them.
We are thrilled to share our love of traditional broom making with you!
