In many parts of the world, people spend hours every day walking long distances to collect water that is often unsafe to drink. These very long walks also prevent them from being able to spend time getting an education or any other pursuits. Charity: Water helps bring clean, reliable water directly to villages and communities, transforming lives in the process. We think their work is absolutely beautiful.
How We Discovered Charity: Water
My dear witchy friend, Penny Sue McInelly, recently passed away. Her family asked me (Rowan) to sing at her funeral, which was a tremendous honor.
When I arrived, I felt Penny's presence strongly. She let me know how thrilled she is about Twichery and told me she wanted to help it grow. Penny owned witchy businesses throughout her adult life, so the thought of receiving her guidance from the Other Side fills me with joy.
The next day, while I was posting on Facebook about my doll babies, this wonderful video suddenly appeared in my feed. Immediately, I heard Penny's familiar enthusiasm:
"Oooh! I like this! You should put this on your website!"
So I watched it.
Within minutes, I knew she had pointed me toward something truly special—an organization that is making a profound difference in the world while maintaining a level of transparency that I deeply appreciate.
During her life on Earth, Penny was one of the most service-oriented people I have ever known. She genuinely loved helping others, and I could almost feel her delight as she nudged me toward this cause.
