This listing is for a Woven Turkey Wing broom made of BLACK TAMPICO FIBER and DYED rattan fiber. We have a variety of colors to choose from, both for weave and twine.

What's a Turkey Wing Broom?

A Turkey Wing Broom with Tampico fiber is a 10"-12" altar-type broom, and it's great for small jobs or as a beautiful piece of folk art to hang in your witchy kitchen! When you tell people you made it yourself, of course they freak out! Which makes it an excellent conversation piece and YOU a genius! It serves beautifully as an alter broom, and because the fibers are very soft, it is ideal for smudging.

This Broom's Size

The size of this broom finished can be anywhere from 10"-12".

Requirements

You'll need some good wrist strength and a willingness to sweat some.

What's Provided?

Everything you need to make a Woven Turkey Wing Broom with Tampico fiber will be provided in this 3-hour class.

What Happens in the Class?

First I demonstrate how to make the broom in order to draw your attention to the details of the work itself, because there are some tricks to it. After that, I'll be coaching you in how to make your own, and you will go home with your own lovely Handwoven Turkey Tail Broom!

Details:

  • Bring a water bottle.
  • Long-sleeve t-shirt is best to work in if you have sensitive skin.
  • Let us know if you're okay with having your picture taken and if it's okay for us to use it when we advertise our classes.
  • Please let us know if you have any questions about anything at all!

Once you make your purchase, we'll send you the Orem address. Classes are fully refundable if we're given 72 hours notice before class time. They are also transferable. You can send someone in your place and we'll be happy to have them.

We are thrilled to share our love of traditional broom making with you!

Question: Why is the cost for this class higher than the non-dyed Tampico class?

Answer: The reason for the higher cost for this class is that I have had to dye the Tampico fiber black myself. And it's a surprising rigamarole I'll tell you! :)
