Nadie te está diciendo cuáles son los "principios" del paganismo. Nadie está emitiendo mandamientos. Nadie te bombardea con ortodoxia y reglas arbitrarias. TÚ defines las reglas por ti mismo. TÚ eres responsable de descubrir a tus dioses y a los guías que TÚ consideres dignos de emular.
Nadie elige nada de esto por ti. Si quieres y necesitas que alguien te diga cómo vivir tu vida y seguir siendo un "HIJO de Dios", también puedes volver a la religión con la que te alimentaron cuando eras niño. De todos modos, una persona así probablemente no quiera crecer. La edad adulta significa responsabilidad.
La reverencia básica por la Tierra, el Aire, el Fuego y el Agua son fundamentales en el paganismo sólo porque son realidades fundamentales de la Vida Misma. La ausencia de Aire os asfixiará sin contemplaciones. Y su presencia es el aliento de tu vida. El agua puede ahogarte. Y puede hidratarte y nutrirte. El fuego puede quemarte. Y si no eres un completo idiota, puedes cocinar tu comida con él. La tierra puede enterrarte. Y si tienes habilidad, puedes construir una casa con ella.
Reconocer estos elementos es simplemente reconocimiento de la Realidad; y tu fragilidad y temporalidad dentro de él. La reverencia hacia ellos es ni más ni menos que evitar ser estúpidos y/o desagradecidos.
El paganismo no te promete ninguna vida futura; sólo promete que si no te das cuenta de ESTA vida y de lo que está sucediendo aquí, la extrañarás y te arrepentirás. No hay verdad más fundamental y obvia que esa.
El paganismo no os promete redención ni os amenaza con la condenación; porque ese es TU trabajo. Tú decides si escuchar los consejos de los ángeles o las tentaciones de los demonios. Tú decides si convertirte en un demonio o en un dios.
